Constructive Tool

Basis on Constructive Tool

A constructive tool is a multipurpose tool that is used in the context of information and communication technology (ICT) to create or build new ideas by connecting new knowledge to previous knowledge. Progress is based on constructive devices, which stimulate creativity and problem-solving. They make it accessible to people and society to create, develop, and enhance pre-existing ideas, systems, and institutions. Constructive tools are flexible; they can be anything from physical tools like saws and hammers to conceptual structures like procedures and ideologies. This becomes clear when one considers them. All-purpose tools that can be utilized to change data, create one's own knowledge, or visualize comprehension are called constructive tools.

Reflection

I found out that ICT serves as a useful constructive tool in teaching and learning because it allows educators to create compelling classes and incorporate interactive platforms, multimedia resources, and collaborative tools into their education. These materials enable students to actively develop their understanding of topics, engage in self-directed learning, and collaborate with others, resulting in improved educational experiences and outcomes.

Some of the constructive tools in teaching and learning are:

  • Desktop Publishing Program
  • PowerPoint, Spreadsheet and Word
  • Google Classroom
  • Camtasia studio
  • Blog, Facebook and Twitter
  • Concept Map and etc.

The above video was made using Camtasia Studio which is one of the constructive tools. I have created the above video using texts, callouts, audio, images, etc.

Concept map is one of the constructive tools applicable in the classroom. It is seen to be a a vital tool for classroom teaching and learning because they help educators organize lessons and give students visual overviews of complex topics. Teachers utilize concept maps to outline significant concepts and their links, so improving comprehension and information retention. As students work through the material, they can design their own idea maps to reinforce understanding and foster collaborative learning environments in which they can share viewpoints and construct collective knowledge.

Advantages of using this Constructive Tool can be:
  • Enhancing creativity and thinking skills
  • Showcasing their final product in their own style and preferences
  • Sharing of their knowledge and ideas in clear and concise manner
  • Visualization of complex knowledge into easier way
